Board Meeting Draws Standing Room Only Crowd

There was standing room only, and not even much of that at the May 15 meeting of the Zachary Community School Board. As the school year draws to a close, it was a time to honor students and employees alike. The School Board honored more than 50 students who achieved perfect scores on at least one subject area of the state's high stakes accountability tests.

The Board also honored the District 4-A State Championship Baseball Team for their earning the title for the second straight year.

Employees did not miss out on the action as the board honored outstanding support employees of the year from each of the district's 5 schools.
