ZCSD provides Academic Support through:

The ZCSD Parent Resource Dashboard at https://zacharyschools.org/parents-students/www.zacharyschools.org is a central location providing information, forms, apps, and links to assist our parents/guardians.
- All ZCSD students (PreK-12) have access to music class.
- ZCSD offers art, music, art integration, orchestra, choir, and band at the elementary level.
- Gifted Programs are offered both as Resource (PreK-12), Self-contained (3-8), and Gifted courses (9-12).
- ZCSD offers Talented Programs K-12 in Theatre, Music, and Visual Arts.
- Grades 5th-6th: Spanish
- Grades 7th-8th: Spanish and French with High School Credit Option
- Grades 9th-12th: Spanish I-IV and French I-IV with Honors option

The ZCSD participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) & School Breakfast Program (SBP). We are required by the USDA to serve menus that meet specific nutrition standards to ensure students are served nutritious foods that fuel growing bodies and support learning minds.

The ZCSD Child Nutrition Program is gradually reducing the sodium from school meals and finding creative ways to add flavor to foods without adding salt, using herbs and spices instead.
- School meals served in the ZCSD are trans-fat free and contain no more than 10% of calories from unhealthy saturated fat.
ZCSD offers an accelerated curriculum:
- K-4 Curriculum Early Classes (PACE)
- K-6 Small Group Instruction
Copper Mill Elementary School offers students additional academic support with Saturday School.
ZCSD students can begin choir in 4th grade (ZES), and orchestra and band in 5th grade (CMES).
Elementary STEM electives are incorporated as engineering challenges in grades K-4.
Robotics electives are available for grades 5-6 at CMES.

Northwestern Middle School (NMS) offers several high school-level courses.
Students can begin Zachary High School (ZHS) with required high school credits. IBCA, Quest for Success, and STEM were recently added to that list.
ZHS offers multiple Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses for college credit.
These are open to all students. There are currently 14 AP and 19 DE courses.
ZHS offers many Career and Technical Education elective courses (CTE) such as First Responder, Medical Assistant, Workplace Safety, and NCCER Welding, as well as numerous certifications.
ZHS currently offers 45 extra-curricular activities.

Each ZCSD school utilizes a campus-wide weapons detection system.
Every campus has visible, active, and engaged law enforcement officers during school hours. Marked units are in clear sight.
SAFE SCHOOLS LOUISIANA allows students, staff, and parents/guardians to confidentially report safety concerns, including bullying, weapons, and threats of violence to the administration 24/7.
ZCSD continues to be a good steward of financial resources!
The latest Louisiana Department of Education per pupil expenditures data by district shows that the ZCSD ranked 57th out of the 67 school districts in overall per pupil expenditures.
ZCSD ranked 5th of the 67 school districts on percent of spending on instruction!
ZCSD invests the largest portion of its budget into our educators, instructional materials, academic programs, and technology to ensure student success.
