Test of our Emergency Message Notification System

Dear Parents,

The Zachary Community School System is committed to the safety of all children placed in our care.  We will continue to explore measures to improve our operations and procedures.  As part of our commitment to communicate quickly and efficiently, the Zachary Community School System utilizes an electronic mass notification system.  This system utilizes various modes of communication to deliver messages to our parents and employees.  These modes of communication include phone messages, text messages and email correspondence.  On Saturday, August 18th, at approximately 10:00 a.m., we will initiate a test of our system for the 2018-2019 school year.  Our goal is for 100% of our parents, guardians and emergency contacts to receive our notification test.  Please note that there are factors influencing message speed that are outside of our control (your service carrier, device, etc.).  The greatest assurance of message reception is the accuracy of contact information.  Therefore, if you do not receive our test notification by 11:00 a.m., on August 18, 2018, please email us at [email protected], or you may send a note with the information listed below to your child’s school.  In your message, please include the following:

  • Student(s) Name
    •    Parent(s) Name
    •    Cell phone number(s)
    •    Home phone
    •    Email addresses

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,

Scott Devillier

Superintendent
