NMS School Closure

Summary

Dear NMS Parents,

As a follow-up to our earlier communication, we want to reiterate that the Zachary Police Department has made an arrest. Thank you for reporting your concerns. Currently, there is no evidence of a continued threat. However, out of an abundance of caution, Northwestern Middle School will be closed on Friday, May 5th, while we follow up on any other information. Parents, please take this time to speak with your children about the seriousness of terrorism and/or making threats of this nature. Terrorism is a federal offense. We thank the Zachary Police Department for their hard work and for helping to keep our students safe.
